Leash Walking - Part II

As a follow-up to a comment from my previous post, I have found a solution to the debate on whether you can walk a fish on a leash or not.  A little investigative work.  See below:

You all might laugh at this photo, but I guarantee you - if it hasn't been done already - in about 20 years the way that science and genetically modified everything is going, you'll be able to buy one of these in your local pet store or supermarket.

Question:  Would you consider that surf or turf?

  1. I consider it evolution in action. Not much good coming up onto land if all you can do is flop around and suffocate. Well done.

  2. Of course, when planning its dramatic evolutionary leap it probably didn't picture itself tied to a fire hydrant in bondage to its human tormentors, but if it had really wanted emancipation, it could have sprouted wings instead. Better luck next time.

  3. "Tied to a fire hydrant in bondage to its human tormentors". Now that is a comment, lolololol.

On a serious note, you've got me thinking about a future blog post. Outside of being a human being, what is the best animal to be (bugs not included)? I would say either a Tanzanian garbage bird (google it if you haven't been following my blog) or a rat would be my choice. So pretty much a pigeon is the ultimate emancipated animal.

Well maybe dogs, cause they've got humans picking up their doodoo.

    Evolution!

  4. You think including bugs would significantly skew the results?

  5. Yup. Clearly everyone would choose to be a vespa mandarinia japonica.

  6. Bugs (ex. mosquitoes) prey on humans... does that put them above us on the food chain?

  7. Very good point. Through parasites, lawyers, and Fortune 500 CEOs on that list too.
