Caribbean Premier League 2013 (T20 Cricket) Predictions

The draft is complete for CPLT20 2013 and here are my picks for the final:

Jamaica and Barbados.

Usually it's the "local" talent that are the wildcard in these kinds of tournaments.  And I'll admit I'm not as familiar with all the "local" West Indian/non-International/uncapped talent.  That being said, international superstars can still make or break a match.

Looking at Jamaica's line-up, it's hard not to pick them as the favourite considering they have three IPL players from the same damn team and who played matches - RCB.  Oh ya, and Gayle is playing for them (and making 24 million JA dollars in less than two months to play too).  And don't forget Australian Shaun Marsh and South African Vernon Philander.  Enough said.

Barbados is no slouch either.

Pollard is Pollard.  Can bowl.  Can bat.  Can field.  Internationals Malik, Al Hasan, and Akmal can play.  And Dwayne Smith was a force to be reckoned with as an opening batsmen for winning team Mumbai in IPL 6.  Jason Holder was also in the IPL and can bowl.

But all in all it seems like it will be an exciting tournament.

Olympics in 2012, CPL in 2013?  Hmmmmm.
